It's Getting Freaky Around Here
A new Substack and some other developments
I’ve got a couple things for ya!
First, I’m launching a new substack. Freakshow Confidential. It’s a place to explore ideas outside of music and my life musings here. I explain in my first post but, in short, Deb (and a few others) have been encouraging me to write about culture, news, politics, rationality, skepticism, and the freakshow that all us freakshows are taking part in.
You should subscribe - though I will cross-post from time to time. Here is the first post.
Two things about music
First: I failed to complete a song in March. It will be remedied shortly and I’ll complete one that I started and add another for April.
Second: I met a keyboardist recently and he came by for a couple hours to record some music with me. Here is a short sneak-peak of the chorus section of my song, Side by Side.
Third: Scouting Music Video Locations
A couple weekends ago Deb and I went into downtown LA to scout a couple locations for music videos. We have the spots selected.
After going through the arts district of downtown, we stopped at Urth Cafe for some breakfast. As we left we noticed a large black plume of smoke behind a parking structure two blocks away.
We drove over there with our cameras and were the first photographers on scene.
